Tameika, a proud New York native and one of ten siblings, has always loved caring for others. Today, she uses those qualities to inspire families through her work as a dental practitioner and the creator of Tammy the Toothfairy. Her mission is to make every first dental visit for children a positive and magical experience. She believes that when kids understand facts about teeth, they feel more confident and less afraid. Through her books, she teaches children about brushing, flossing, and preventing common kids teeth problems. Tameika is proud to be part of the community of Black authors making a difference in children’s health literacy.
